It takes years for makeup wipes to breakdown in the landfill, which is where they are most likely to end up.  According to the FDA, most wipes are made from a combination of things such as polyester, polypropylene, cotton, wood pulp, and rayon fibers, many of which are not biodegradable or compostable. Flushing them is even worse than throwing them in the garbage as they have to be fished out, so they end up in landfills anyway, but take more work to get there. And if you've got a septic system, you're just asking for trouble! These will not only be a luxury for your skin but help reduce your waste and save the planet! (YAY YOU!)   The upfront cost is a little more than what you pay for the store-bought but these will last a LOOONNNGGGGGGG time so you'll save over time!

Assorted packs of 7 cotton facial wipes.  These are upcycled and made from scraps or leftovers, 100% cotton flannel on both sides.  Serged with cotton thread and 2 layers for extra durability!  Prints and colors are chosen at random by me based on what I have, being as these are scraps I use what I have on hand to keep costs down and to reduce waste!  As my scrap bins fill up I will be adding more!  Some prints will repeat in each set of 7.

Machine washable and dry able, I have already pre-washed them.  Unlike others you may find or buy mine are all pre-washed so they won't shrink, fade and distort the first time you wash them.  I don't use detergent or fabric softener (I make my own) as I don't want any of those chemicals on my face!  I also offer laundry bags (sold separately) so if I wash mine with towels I throw them in a crocheted or sewn scrap laundry bag.  Not only can these be used to remove make-up but also with a homemade (or store bought-ugh) salt scrub, use with toner or witch hazel and even moisturizer (coconut oil!)  They are very versatile and will last a long time.  So if you want to completely eliminate your disposable (bad!) wipes or rounds buy more than one pack and wash weekly!  I store mine in an upcycled candle jar and use daily and wash when I start running low!

I have a customer that bought these and thinks they are perfect for her diabetic kitty.  She uses them after pricking her to apply pressure, uses them to apply medicine, etc.  The possibilities are endless!

  • They can be washed in the washing machine and dryed in the dryer.  I wash mine with my towels because I do use oils versus chemicals to remove my makeup and witch hazel, etc.  I don't want that ruining or staining my clothing.  Since they are pre-washed they shouldn't shrink much!
